Our Carers

All of our care agency staff go through a comprehensive induction and training process, including MEDS training. This ensures that they’re confidently prepared to provide service users with the best possible care, and learn the fundamentals of working within a team. We provide all formal training to our care agency staff, which is delivered within a classroom setting and also within a care home. This enables us to provide mentoring, competency checks and observations of their practice prior to working for providers. Once fully trained, our agency care staff rates are reflected on the experience and knowledge obtained; ensuring pay is always fair.

We also acknowledge the significance of teamwork, reliability and the ability to engage with all service user groups. Through workshops and training, we cover these areas, as well as care planning and risk assessments.

Recruitment Process

All of our care agency staff are recruited to Care Quality Commission requirements and will undergo a thorough recruitment process so that they can exceed standard care methods. Here is what to expect from our recruitment procedure:

 

  • An initial interview
  • An enhanced DBS Check 
  • A minimum of two references to be provided
  • A health declaration
  • Verification of identity & work permit status (if applicable)
  • Comprehensive induction 

Skills Training

We provide our care agency staff with formal training which reflects current industry standards. Staff will undergo a number of observations and competency checks within a care home setting to ensure that they are able to put their training into practice. Mobile and care home agency staff will be left feeling confident and competent in all areas.

Additionally, workshops and more advanced courses can also be provided. For example, working with personality disorders and breakaway training if required.
